To plan, design, construct and install systems to continue rehabilitation of the South Central Wastewater System critical infrastructure. To complete remaining nine lift stations with emergency backup power generator systems, rehab the electrical, instrumentation & controls, SCADA system upgrades at 10 lift stations and 2 treatment plants, rehabilitate existing 9 lift stations with new vault equipment such as valves, piping, pumps, and epoxy coatings, conduct an assessment and inspection on existing: force mains, manholes, gravity collection lines, casings for crossings under highways/roads, railroad, irrigation channels and repair as required.  2022 Colonias Funds of $2,850,494 received.

 

To acquire, plan, design, equip and construct improvements to existing drainage conditions in La Union. To date, the project is funded $490,000 from 2022 Capital Outlay, $200,000 from 2023 Capital Outlay and $800,000  from 2022 Colonias funding.

To plan, design, renovate, equip and construct improvements to the De La O Visitors Center in Doña Ana County. Received $500,000 from 2022 Capital Outlay and $400,000 2024 Capital Outlay funds.

To plan, design, acquire, construct and equip a flood control structure approximately four miles north of Highway 70 at Holman Road. This project is an outfall channel for the proposed Brahman Dam. The channel will route drainage waters to an area known as Isaacks Lake. To date, the project has been funded $5,000,000 from ARPA and $8,125,000 from capital outlay for property acquisition, archeological studies, environmental studies, planning, design and construction.

To design, construct, equip, and furnish a Real Time Crime Center for Doña Ana County. Design, construct, equip, and furnish a Real Time Crime Center within the Sheriff's Office which will be approximately 750 square feet. Advanced technology infrastructure, including high-speed internet, robust servers, and computers will be needed to handle large volumes of data will be addressed within the design. Surveillance cameras, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software is crucial for mapping crime patterns and analyzing spatial data. Communication tools such as radios, phones, and messaging will be needed. Additionally, specialized software for data analysis, predictive modeling, and facial recognition will need to be equip at the RTCC.

To purchase handheld, fixed and mobile radios and associated equipment for the Sheriff, Fire Administration, Detention Center, Office of Emergency Management and the Road departments.  Received $100,000 from 2022 Capital Outlay and $75,000 from 2023 Capital Outlay funds.

To plan, design, construct and furnish Phase II of the classroom, bathrooms and physical fitness room, as well as clean room in order to prevent/reduce exposure to firefighter related cancer caused by post fire response.  Received $200,000 from 2023 Capital Outlay funds.
